X Factor Contestant may Have to Bow Out due to Diabetes

Millions of us are presently watching X Factor every week.

An X Factor teenage sensation, Amelia Lily, is highly concerned that her dreams of stardom may be blown away due to her diabetes.

Amelia sang her version of Janis Joplin’s, "Piece Of My Heart" on last Saturday's show.

Viewers saw her winning over Gary Barlow as well as the other three judges; Tulisa even proclaimed that Amelia "blew up the stage."

Amelia, who is only 16, has endured Type 1 diabetes since the age of three and has to self inject insulin four times daily.

She is concerned that she could collapse on stage should her blood sugar levels drop too low due to the pressure or fatigue.

Amelia has to ensure that she monitors her blood regularly . It can prove difficult for her to sing as it gets quite tiring.

Hopefully diabetes will not stop Amelia from reaching the heights in her voice and career that she dreams about.
