Junk Food Can Lead to Diabetes Amongst Teenagers

Mon, 07 Nov 2011
The consumption of junk food by children and teenagers can lead to serious health problems in later life.

GPs state that youngsters make themselves more vulnerable to diabetes, obesity and hypertension, which are triggered by prolonged intake of processed or junk food. Youngsters can also develop certain types of cancer.

Nutritionists state that processed foods and junk food do not carry the same nutritional value as a freshly prepared meal.

Consumption of such foods over a long period of time can lead to physical inactivity which can lead to obesity amongst children and teenagers.

Such foods also do not give you a full feeling, so, you do not end up with a satiated feeling.

You end up wanting to eat more of the same processed or junk foods after having had some.
