Why Should Diabetes be Treated

Diabetes is a potentially fatal disease which can seriously affect your body.

Many individuals go through life unaware that they are diabetic, until things go haywire.

Uncontrolled diabetes impacts upon your heart and blood pressure .

Uncontrolled blood pressure eventually impacts on the heart muscles, tearing them to produce a heart attack .

In addition, high blood pressure can impact upon your eye sight.

The cornea is very slight and has delicate blood vessels in it; too much pressure will rupture them and can produce permanent blindness .

Insufficent insulin to process glucose can also produce kidney failure as the kidneys become overwhelmed by its attempts to filter the glucose out of the blood.

The kidneys eventually stop working in order to protect themselves from more damage.

In addtion, the lack of insulin produces a condition called hypoglycemia, whereby the body has insufficient glucose to burn and keep all of its systems functioning.

A person suffering from this due to a lack of insulin loses consciousness and eventually enters into a diabetic coma.

A diabetic coma produces irreparable damage to the kidneys and heart.

In order to protect itself, the body shuts down totally. Excessive blood pressure can lead to the amputation of fingers and more.
