There are some ways of spotting the signs of Type 2 Diabetes.

There is a percentage of diabetics who are plagued by diabetes and depression .

Does this mean that diabetics are at a greater risk of suffering from depression? The simple yet short answer is yes. However, most individuals with this condition do not have depression.

Research studies highlight that there is a greater risk of diabetics becoming depressed. This is due to stress related to the disease itself, feeling alienated should family and friends not be sympathetic, or not be understanding.

Diabetes can of course be managed. Yet it does put one's life into perspective. It can bring about a bolt of realisation that a healthy diet and regular exercise are not preferable; they are absolutely essential.

When diabetes is not managed properly, the diabetic can show symptoms which appear to be depression. Life may seem hopeless; it is essential then to see your G.P.

The GP will determine the basics of your predicament during a consultation and should all signs point to depression, they are able to recommend further treatment.
