Children are Lving with Obesity, Alcohol Abuse and Tooth Decay

Wed, 14 Apr 2010
The nation is experiencing a record number of children being treated in hospital with health conditions like obesity, alcohol abuse, tooth decay and multiple other health complaints related to passive smoking .

Healthcare professionals are emphasising that such health problems are wholly preventable should we adopt healthier lifestyles.

Such health complaints could in time lead to a generation dying prior to their parents.

Such claims are incredibly worrying as being overweight or obese heightens your risk of developing Type 2 diabetes, which can trigger stroke, heart disease, blindness, amputation and kidney disease .

It is essential that we become responsible for the future health of our children and ensure that they adhere to a healthy low fat, low sugar diet and have a minimum of five portions of fresh fruits and veg a day.
